What are prepositions? in, on, under, at, to, around, above, near, underneath, beside, of, for, out,...
A preposition is placed before a noun (or a pronoun) to show the noun's relationship (how it connects) to another word in the sentence.
Ex: The paper is under the table, or under it.
It can also be after a verb to precise it (it becomes a phrasal verb).
Ex: I come back from recess and I am calm.
My friends look down on the paper.
